The season kicks off on Wednesday, 28th May 2025, and promises eleven exciting race days that will unfold thrilling contests and showcase rising talent—both equine and human—until the grand finale on Wednesday, 6th August 2025.
With approximately ₹4 crores in total stakes on offer, inclusive of prestigious trophies and glittering cups, the season is expected to attract robust participation. Nearly 400 horses will be seen in action, trained by a formidable line-up of around 20 ‘A’ licensed trainers based in Mysore, alongside 10 leading outstation professionals who will add a competitive edge and enhance the racing quality.
Among the local stalwarts saddling winners will be seasoned names like
Bobby, Pratap Kamath, Rakesh, C.D. Monnappa, Vishal Yadav, Bipin Salvi, G.T. Surender, and Santosh Rao—the reigning champion trainer from last season. Their consistency, horsemanship, and strategic acumen are certain to keep the action lively and the leaderboard dynamic.

2nd July 2025 – The Mysore Fillies Trial Stakes – A race that traditionally acts as a stepping stone for classic-bound fillies. It will be the first major test of class and stamina for the sophomore crop of fillies this season.
9th July 2025 – The Mysore Colts Trial Stakes – Following a week later, the colts will take center stage. Often producing future champions, this event is vital for identifying the classic colts of the crop.
23rd July 2025 – The Mysore Summer Million – One of the richest and most prestigious races of the summer, open to promising juveniles and emerging milers. This will be a key pointer towards the autumn and winter campaigns.
6th August 2025 – The Mysore Race Club Million – The season’s grand finale promises to be a spectacular affair with a bumper card, led by the MRC Million, which will crown the summer’s best with a fitting climax.
